Bucs By The Numbers: Week Two

Giving you all the statistical ammunition you’ll need for the water cooler with meaningful numbers from the most recent Tampa Bay Buccaneers matchup… This week includes Vincent Jackson, the Bucs run defense, Mason Foster and more.

34 – Points scored by the Buccaneers on Sunday. It is the most points the Bucs have put up on the road since October 31, 2010, when they topped the Arizona Cardinals, 38-34. Their showing against the Giants is tied for the eight most points the Buccaneers have ever scored in a road game.

15 – Career 100+ yard receiving games for WR Vincent Jackson. Sunday’s 41-34 loss to the New York Giants was Vincent Jackson’s first 100-yard game as a Buccaneer. He also caught his first touchdown in a Bucs uniform.

52 – Rushing yards per game allowed by the Tampa Bay defense this season, more than 100 yards fewer than their per game average last year. Through two weeks, the Buccaneers’ defense ranks third in the NFL in this category.

20 – Points scored so far this season by K Connor Barth, tying him for ninth in the NFL so far this season. It matches the number of consecutive field goals Barth has made, the longest active streak in the NFL and longest streak in Buccaneer history.

12 – Solo tackles by LB Mason Foster, who also added two passes defended and an interception in week two action. He leads the team with 18 solo tackles (19 total tackles) through two games. His solo number is tied for second in the NFL.
