Cundiff Missed Field Goal, Redskins Still Lead 7-3

The Washington Redskins took their first touch of the second half at the ten-yard line.

On the opening play, Robert Griffin rolled out on a designed run and was met by S Mark Barron who took him down in the backfield. Barron, however, was called for a personal foul on the hit: a 15 yard penalty.

Griffin then connected with Pierre Garcon for the first time of the day for a 20-yard gain. On the next play, Griffin dropped back and unloaded a deep ball, again to Garcon. The ball sailed over his head, and S Ronde Barber was called for a 32-yard pass interference penalty.

The Redskins, however, failed to convert on the good field position and were forced to try a 41-yard field goal. Cundiff’s kick fell incomplete and the Buccaneer took over at the 36-yard line.
