Redskins’ Late Drive and Field Goal Win Game: 24-22

Following the Connor Barth field goal that put the Bucs up 22-21, the Michael Koenen kickoff went into the end zone for a touchback. The Redskins’ began their drive at the 20-yard line, with 1:42 left in the game.

Redskins’ QB Robert Griffin III connected on three quick passes to WR Santana Moss, TE Fred Davis and RB Evan Royster, bringing the ball to the Buccaneers’ 41-yard line and the clock to 38 seconds.

Griffin took the next snap and scrambled for a 15-yard gain, his longest of the night, setting up Washington at the 26. A false start pushed them back to the 31. And with 18 seconds left, Griffin completed another pass to Moss, putting Cundiff in field goal range.

Cundiff, after missing three kicks so far in the game, hit from 41 yards out to effectively seal the game.

With three seconds left, the Buccaneers lateraled the ensuing kickoff a few times before it rolled out of bounds, ending the game. 24-22 Washington Redskins.
