Blair Walsh Adds Three for Vikings

Rookie K Blair Walsh knocked in a 51-yard field goal to shorten the Bucs’ lead to 20-10.

The Vikings converted on two third downs during the drive, but couldn’t make it on their third try, forcing the kicker to try a long shot that ultimately split the uprights.

A deep pass on third-and-twelve, set up by a Daniel Te’o-Nesheim sack, QB Christian Ponder hit WR Jerome Simpson on a 33-yard pass down the left sideline.

After the big play, the Vikings were unable to go much further, but managed to pull within 10 points of the Bucs before the half.

The Buccaneers have a minute and 40 seconds left to try to improve their lead.

  1. I can’t believe nobody saw the interception……Johnson took the ball away from Percy Harvin AND BEFORE he stepped out of bounds, JOHNSON had BOTH FEET INBOUNDS. He couldn’t advance the ball because he then stepped out of bounds, BUT he had control of the ball with both feet down, inbounds!!!!!
