Barth’s Three-Pointer Makes It One-Possession Game

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have taken to their hurry-up offense and put three quick points on the board to cut the lead to eight with just over four minutes to go.

A pass interference call on the second play of the drive gave the Bucs good position at their own 45-yard line. A 22-yard catch by Vincent Jackson got them into Carolina territory before the Bucs were forced into a fourth-down situation out of field goal range. Freeman dropped back and hit WR Mike Williams to convert.

However, they couldn’t get going on their next set and faced another fourth down. Connor Barth made his 40-yard kick to make it 21-13 Panthers.

Michael Koenen kicked it away and out of the back of the end zone. Carolina has the ball with 4:03 remaining.
