The Carolina Panthers held the Buccaneer offense to just eight yards on their first possession of the game. After forcing two incomplete passes, the Bucs were forced to punt.

P Michael Koenen boomed a 53-yarder into the hands of PR Captain Munnerlyn. Munnerlyn took the punt right up the middle and escaped two tackles. He looked to be breaking to the outside before being popped and losing the football.
