Buccaneers Stall Raiders Again on an Up-and-Down Drive

Raider QB Carson Palmer started the drive with a 21-yard third-and-three completion to WR Denarius Moore before the Buccaneers came up with a big stop.

On the next third-and-11, DE Da’Quan Bowers recorded his first sack of the season, dropping Palmer for a loss of nine. However, on the punt, the Bucs were called for Roughing the Kicker, giving the Raiders a first down in Buccaneer territory.

Two plays later, Carson Palmer connected deep down the field with WR Derek Hagan for a touchdown that was called back for on an Offensive Holding penalty. Two plays later, the Raiders were forced to punt again, this time electing to fake it. Shane Lechler threw the pass to Taiwan Jones who was stopped well short of the needed 13 yards by Ronde Barber.

The Buccaneers will start their next drive at their 46-yard line.
