After recovering the Captain Munnerlyn punt return fumble, the Buccaneers were set up at the Carolina 29-yard line.
A quick pair of Doug Martin touches made it third-and-one and Josh Freeman crossed the line on a run to make the first. On the next play, Freeman scrambled up the middle and got hit by a Panther player during his slide. The penalty made it first down at the Carolina three-yard line.
From there, the Buccaneers didn’t hesitate to get into the end zone as Freeman dropped back and passed it to the back of the end zone to third-string tight end Nate Bynum. The Buccaneers lead 7-0.
