The Buccaneers and Panthers traded three-and-outs to open the third quarter.
With the Panthers set to punt after a big play by DT Daniel Te’o-Nesheim and big stop by Gerald McCoy, Carolina attempted a fake. The direct snap to the up-man Nakamura was read perfectly and ended in a four-yard loss.
The Bucs were set up at the Panther 37-yard line and looked to strike and end the 14-point streak of Carolina. On the first play, Josh Freeman took a shot deep down the left sideline and was intercepted for the second time of the day.
It was again Nakamura who pulled down the interception, returning it to the Carolina 23-yard line. The Panthers offense will take to the field once again.
