Bucs Offense Gets One More Shot

The Buccaneers needed two scores after Brandon LaFell’s touchdown made it 21-10 with six minutes to go.

With four minutes left, Connor Barth connected from 40 yards out to cut the lead to eight. Then it was on the Bucs defense to give the offense a chance to tie.

Cam Newton immediately hit Steve Smith, giving the Panthers the first. The Bucs strong run defense forced a third down, but Newton again converted, hitting WR Louis Murphy who made an incredible catch to get both feet in.

Two more runs, resulting in negative yards again set up third. Newton tried to convert with his feet, but fell a couple yards short, forcing the punt.

The Buccaneers used all of their timeouts on the drive, but will get the ball back. They have 1:02 left in the game and 80 yards to go for the score. They must also convert the two-point conversion to tie the game.
