Defense Continue to Exchange Blows

After the Panthers intercepted Josh Freeman, both defenses exchanged three-and-outs yet again in what has become a hard-hitting, hard-fought third quarter.

The Panthers got the ball back with just over half of the third quarter remaining and managed to put together the first first down of the half. Sticking to the run game, the Panthers kept it on the ground, running DeAngelo Williams up the middle for a gain of five, followed by a loss of one.

On third-and-six, DE Michael Bennett was called offsides, shortening the third down attempt to one yard. The handoff went to Jonathan Stewart off the left side, who was met almost immediately in the backfield by S Ronde Barber who was coming in hot from the right, dropping him for a loss of two.

The Buccaneers will set up at their 19-yard line after receiving the punt and look to put more points on the board before the quarter closes.
