The interception touchdown has fueled the Carolina Panthers team on both sides of the ball.
The Panther defense held the Buccaneers, forcing a punt on the drive that rung in the second quarter. This set up the Panthers at their 23-yard line. From there, the Panthers put together their best drive of the game.
A Jonathan Stewart 11-yard run started things off. He then caught a short pass from Cam Newton and turned it up field for a 30-yard gain. Then on a third down, Newton hit WR Steve Smith for 17-yards, setting up the Panthers in the red zone.
The Buccaneers forced an incompletion and run for no gain before the Panthers took a shot at the end zone. Newton passed to TE Greg Olsen in the right corner and S Mark Barron was called for pass interference, which set the ball up at the one. From there, Jonathan Stewart capped his excellent drive with the score.
The Buccaneers will start their next possession at the 28-yard line after LaQuan Lewis took the kickoff out of the end zone for 33 yards. The Panthers lead the Buccaneers 14-10. The Buccaneers will look to stop the 14 unanswered points with just under nine minutes left in the half.
