Barth Hits Again, Rams Up 7-6

The Buccaneers orchestrated their second long drive of the game. Again starting from the 20-yard line, this time after the Rams’ interception touchdown, the Buccaneers got things going with an incredible one-armed grab by TE Dallas Clark on third down.

The Buccaneers were then assisted by the defense on a 15-yard facemask penalty. On the next first down play from mid-field, the Rams got to Josh Freeman for the third time this game, the Bucs’ season high in sacks allowed. The play backed them up, but a completion to Vincent Jackson, 5-yard encroachment penalty and quick screen to Mike Williams got the first down at the St. Louis 38.

Doug Martin rumbled for seven yards, but the drive stalled at from there. Connor Barth set up for a 49-yard field goal and drilled it through the uprights, bringing the Buccaneers to within one.

The Rams will get the ball with 5:56 left on in the first half with a 7-6 lead.
