Roscoe Parrish just gave the Buccaneers their best play of the day, giving the offense the ball at the New Orleans 33-yard line.
Credit should also go to the Buccaneers defense for making a big stop, forcing a three-and-out and the big punt return.
On first down, Mason Foster and Danny Gorrer recorded the pass breakup, nearly picking off the Drew Brees throw. On second down, Brees took aim at Josh Morgan deep down the left sideline and he was forced out of bounds. Then, on third, the Buccaneers recorded their first sack of the day as Da’Quan Bowers got pressure on Brees and took him to the ground for a loss of nine yards.
On the ensuing punt, Roscoe Parrish took the ball at the Bucs’ 18-yard line, returning it all the way out to the New Orleans 43, for a return of 39 yards. A holding penalty tacked on 10 yards. The Bucs have the ball at the 33-yard line.
