Bucs Not Finished, Freeman to Williams TD

The Buccaneers have pulled within one score.

Connor Barth’s two 50+ yard kicks and the decision to kick the ball away paid off. The Buccaneers held the Denver offense to a three and out, stuffing two runs and limiting another. After the punt and a nice return, the Buccaneers were set up in their own territory.

Josh Freeman stepped up big, hitting Mike Williams three straight times on the four-play drive. Williams caught one for 14 yards before getting out of bounds. Then Freeman sent another one his way down the sideline for 28. From the five yard line, it was once again Freeman to Mike Williams for the quick score, making it 31-23 Broncos.

The onside kick was recovered by Denver with 2:30 left in the game. The Buccaneers have no time outs remaining, but will be able to get the ball back if the defense can force one more three-and-out.
